Spring “Green-Up” Days

What We Need:
This spring, we are seeking corporate partners and volunteer groups to support “Green-Up” Days at our programs where adults with differing abilities live and thrive. After the winter months, our outdoor spaces need care and attention to be safe, welcoming, and accessible.

What Volunteers Will Do:
Volunteer groups will work alongside our team to:

  • Clean and prepare outdoor spaces for spring

  • Plant flowers and refresh garden beds

  • Perform light landscaping and debris removal

  • Set up outdoor seating and common areas

Each Green-Up Day is approximately four hours. A $2,500 contribution helps offset the cost of materials and supplies for each site. Opportunities are available at residences in the Bronx and Queens.

No specialized skills are required—just a willingness to contribute and support the individuals who call these homes their own.

Get Involved:
We are currently organizing volunteer days throughout the spring and welcome corporate teams interested in participating.

To learn more or schedule a Green-Up Day, please contact our Development Office at development@catholicguardian.org or at (212) 371-1000.

Why It Matters:
For the individuals we support, these homes are just that—home. Clean, well-maintained outdoor spaces create opportunities for relaxation, socialization, and community connection. Existing funding does not cover many of the enhancements that make these environments warm, inviting, and dignified.

Thank you for your support of Catholic Guardian Services!
