ESTABLISHED in 2019 by longtime Catholic Guardian donor and friend Robert A. Kuhner, the Jane and Edward Kuhner Fund provides life-changing opportunities for youth in foster care, connecting them to internships, apprenticeships and career building support.

Designed specifically for young people who are not on a traditional college path, the program opens doors to careers in the trades, technical, healthcare and more. It equips them with the skills, mentorship, and confidence they need to thrive.

Seeking Opportunities for NYC Youth

CATHOLIC GUARDIAN SERVICES IS CONNECTING FOSTER CARE YOUTH WITH transformative career-building opportunities through the Jane and Edward Kuhner Fund. We are looking to expand this program to offer new pathways for success and invite partners across industries to join us in this vital mission. Are you in corporate, trades, technical, healthcare, or another field?

We are seeking partners to provide:

  • Paid externships, apprenticeships, or internships

  • On-the-job training

    Program details:

  • Time commitment: 25 hours per week for 8 weeks
