BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Children and families may need support that goes beyond a counseling appointment. Behavioral Health services help families navigate challenges in everyday life by connecting them to coordinated care, community-based services, and practical supports that strengthen stability and well-being.
Catholic Guardian Services works alongside children, young people, and families to make care easier to access and easier to navigate. Through Care Management and Children and Family Treatment and Support Services, families receive individualized guidance and support designed to meet needs where they live, learn, and spend their time.

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS)
Children and Family Treatment and Support Services, or CFTSS, bring behavioral health support into the places where children and families are most comfortable, including their homes and communities. Services are designed to help children and young people manage emotional or behavioral challenges while strengthening the skills and relationships that support everyday life.
Depending on a child’s needs, CFTSS can include therapeutic and rehabilitative services, skill-building, family and caregiver support, and help navigating challenges at home, at school, or in the community. By providing flexible, individualized support outside of a traditional clinic setting, CFTSS helps children build confidence and coping skills while giving families additional tools to support their child’s growth and well-being. Care Management
Families should be able to focus on their child’s well-being rather than spending their time trying to navigate multiple systems on their own. Care Management helps children and families coordinate healthcare, behavioral health, educational, and community-based services so the right supports can work together around the family.
Care managers partner with families to understand their goals, develop individualized plans, connect them to services and resources, advocate when barriers arise, and coordinate among providers. The goal is to create more consistent support, reduce gaps in care, and help families feel more confident navigating the systems that affect their child’s health and stability. Top ⌃
Care Management is provided as part of New York State's Children's Health Home program.
