MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health affects how children, young people, and families feel, connect, learn, and move through everyday life. When challenges begin to interfere with relationships, school, or overall well-being, having access to the right support can make a meaningful difference.

Catholic Guardian Services provides accessible, family-centered mental health care designed to meet people where they are. Through our Counseling & Wellness Centers and school-based clinics, children, young people, and families can access counseling, psychiatric support, and other services that promote healing, strengthen resilience, and help people move forward with greater stability and confidence.

CGS Counseling & Wellness Center

The CGS Counseling & Wellness Center provides outpatient mental health services for children, young people, and families who are enrolled in Medicaid. Our goal is to make compassionate, high-quality care easier to access so individuals and families can address challenges early, strengthen relationships, and improve overall well-being.

Services include individual, family, and group psychotherapy, psychiatric and psychological assessments, and medication and health management. Care is tailored to each person’s needs and provided in a supportive environment focused on healing, resilience, and long-term stability. Top ⌃

Individual, Family & Group Psychotherapy

Therapy can provide a safe space to work through emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges with support from a trained mental health professional. Individual, family, and group psychotherapy help children, young people, and families build coping skills, strengthen communication, and develop healthier ways of managing stress and difficult experiences.

Psychiatric & Psychological Assessments

Psychiatric and psychological assessments help better understand a person’s emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. Through thoughtful evaluation, our clinicians can identify areas of concern, clarify treatment needs, and help guide an individualized plan for care and support.

Medication & Health Management

For individuals who may benefit from medication as part of their mental health treatment, our clinical team provides ongoing medication evaluation and management. This includes monitoring how treatment is working, addressing questions or concerns, and coordinating care to support each person’s overall health and well-being. ‍Learn About our  CGS Family Counseling and Wellness Center >

School-Based Mental Health Clinics

Children spend much of their day at school, which makes schools an important place to make mental health support easier to reach. Our School-Based Mental Health Clinics bring counseling and behavioral health services directly into school communities, allowing students to receive support in a familiar environment without many of the barriers families can face when seeking care elsewhere.

By making mental health services available where children already learn and grow, school-based clinics can help identify concerns earlier, connect students to support sooner, and promote emotional well-being alongside academic success. Families also gain easier access to resources and care that can support their child both inside and outside the classroom.‍ ‍Top ⌃
