Dan Chen
CFO, Retail for MoneyGram
Dan Chen is the CFO of Retail for MoneyGram, a global leader in cross-border payments, serving millions of customers by providing seamless, affordable, and secure money movement across borders for over 80 years. Before joining MoneyGram, Dan was the CFO of Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange, where he led their initial public offering. Prior roles included serving as the head of Capital Markets and Bank Partnerships at Affirm, as the CFO of Blue Foundry Bank (where he also led their IPO), and as the Treasurer of Cross River Bank. Dan also worked as a Managing Director at MetLife Investments and as a Vice President in Capital Markets and in M&A at Morgan Stanley.
Dan lives in New Jersey with his wife Su, who is a practicing physician active in global public health initiatives, and their four children. Dan is an avid runner who has completed two marathons, and also serves as an independent director for Relm Insurance and as an adjunct professor in corporate finance at Columbia University’s School of Engineering. Dan has a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
