Volunteer Opportunities

Catholic Guardian Services’ Development Disabilities Program is seeking volunteers for our upcoming SPECIAL OLYMPICS to be held on October 4, 2018, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m at Glen Island Park on the Long Island Sound, New York.

This year, more than 130 athletes from across in New York City will be participating. By volunteering, you will help individuals with intellectual disabilities develop into healthy and health-conscious athletes. Volunteers will serve as timekeepers, officials, coordinators, food servers and as the audience cheering on the athletes. Meals will be provided as well as complimentary tournament t-shirts and caps.

Email us at development@catholicguardian.org, expressing your interest in joining us for this exciting day!

A Guiding Hand – Community Volunteer Program

As one of the largest social services agencies in the state, serving over 1,000 children in foster care annually, we are pleased to be able to collaborate with the nation’s founding and NYC’s largest mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City in bringing our program, A Guiding Hand, to the children in our care.  We seek to match our youth with mentors who can be the influence for a powerful change in their lives.
